Don™€™t fall for their rebate claims they are a scam

The product seems to work exactly as advertised but it™€™s also still new. What I would caution is the claims on rebates. I™€™ve spent hours trying to get my rebate and every time I submit a claim with pictures and receipt there is another crazy request from the rebate center as to what more they need. Feels like a total scam to rope you in with them making it next to impossible to get the claim paid. I™€™m actually curious how many rebates they actually refund.

A Love-Hate Relationship

I really wanted to love this appliance, but I am finding it difficult to adjust to its operation. While I am very impressed with the oven features, I am finding the stovetop to be quite challenging to use. Unfortuntaley, I am vertically challenged and always hit the burner controls. I will just have to adjust. I have ordered an entire new set of cookware, so that should help as well. Love the smooth top; so easy to clean. It's a beautiful range and fits nicely with my other GE applicances.

I am a grandma who has cooked on gas ranges in all the kitchens I have cooked, and here I am, switching to induction™€¦ and I love the precision cooking! Especially the oven probe and no preheat air fryer. The design panel™€™s slight tilt towards the cook is a nice design feature, but be careful of the exposed glass upper edge! I noticed a small chip in mine only after a few weeks of use, bummer.

It's alright. Touch controls are slow, and they trigger while wiping. A local store salesperson misinformed me about being able to lock controls while cooking. Turns out, lock also turns everything off. It's only there for child lock purposes and when you're cleaning and trying not to activate anything. They also said wiping with a wet towel won't actuate anything and that it only registers from your actual skin, which was also wrong. It's so annoying! Bad design in the back -- can't push it all the way to the wall because of the outlet cavity is too low. You practically need to turn your outlet 90 degrees to the side in order to be able to slide the oven against the wall. All for what, a larger oven? Speaking of which, the oven is disappointing. I put a thermometer in the center and set bake to 350F. It took a while, but it started beeping to tell me preheat was ready about 10 minutes before the actual temperature in the center of the oven hit 350F so you can't use this without a thermometer in there. The oven racks also suck. They coat them in some sort of enamel, but their process seems to be to hang them by the rear and spray coat it. After theyre done coating, they don't even go back to spray coat the spot where they hung the rack by, so it's unfinished and looks unprofessional. I also wager that the spray coating is exactly why the oven racks have a hard time sliding in and out of the oven, scratching the interior up. Bad design.

Before purchasing the GE Profile PHS930YPFS, I had serious reservations. Online reviews warned that the touch controls were finicky and the convection performance was subpar. Trusting my past positive experiences with GE, I took the gamble. It paid off immensely.Coming from a non-convection radiant range, the difference is night and day. Convection baking has been incredibly easy to adopt, delivering excellent, consistent results for my bread. The induction cooktop is equally impressive. The temperature precision and instant responsiveness are unmatched. Because the glass surface doesn't generate its own heat, it stays safe, cools quickly, and lets me cook on silicone mats to prevent scratches. Additionally, the induction fan is quiet enough to be completely unnoticed when cooking. If you are on the fence, buy it. I am never going back.

Have had this range for nearly 1 yr. Love cooking with it, but there are 4 things that I would address if I were doing the designing:: 1. It's necessary to activate some important features with WI-FI. This is the most absurd thing I've ever encountered for a stove! Since I don't have WI-FI, a friend came over & activated it for me. The WI-FI feature should be optional, not mandatory! 2. There are 3 sizes of cooking burners (not counting the warming spot). A 4th size would allow me to use a different size pan. Make each of the 4 burners a different size. 3. The touchpad is so sensitive that wiping down the surface after use turns the features on. Doesn't seem to be any way to get around this issue. 4. The cookware necessary for this cooktop is EXPENSIVE! I carry a magnet around with me, just in case I find something on sale that would fit my burners. Because this range pre-heats so quickly, my kitchen seems to be cooler. Water boils within 2 mins. Burners have an instantaneous response when raising or lowering the cooking temp. The stovetop is easy to clean, which reduces clean-up time. Also, it seems that the Vent-a-Hood for kitchen exhaust seems to stay cleaner because fry temp is easily controlled. All in all, I'd recommend this range, but definitely wait until it goes on sale! I paid nearly $3,000 a yr. ago & still have sticker shock!

Induction cooking has a new fan!

I've used this range practically every day for a month and haven't found anything I don't like. My stainless cookware was compatible with induction cooking so it only required a slight learning curve to adjust to induction cooking. It is a vast improvement over electric! Water boils in about 2 minutes, burner adjustments respond immediately and maintain even temperature, the cooktop only gets hot from heat transfer from the pot, but not hot enough to burn any spills. The control lock feature makes cleaning the control panel easy without activating the controls. The oven bakes evenly, but I have not used the air-fry feature yet. I was concerned about an unfinished look due to the gap between the range and the counter (my last range had an overhanging lip), but I found expandable black stainless gap fillers that fit perfectly and give a nice finished appearance. I couldn't be more satisfied!

Very good but could be better

This range is beautiful and cooks very nicely. I have only two quibbles. One is that the "bridge" on the left side simply coordinates the two burners, but does not heat the space between them. So when I try to use a two-burner griddle it does not heat evenly in the middle. The second is that the panel with the controls does not clean easily, and gets smeared with a touch of a finger.

So far, I love it! It was delivered the day before I left on a 2-week vacation so I haven't cooked enough on it and in it. I love the way it looks in my kitchen. EDITED REVIEW: I have now been cooking on/in this for one month. I love the cooktop! Going from electric to induction is fabulous! There is a small learning curve but once you get it, is great! Immediately responsive. The oven does not get as much use and I haven't used any of the Wi-Fi features yet, which is why I haven't yet given it five stars.

Solid Performance

It's a very handsome thing in the kitchen, and unfortunately, yes, that was a very important factor for me in this purchase. Cooktop heat is fast and responsive. Oven heat is accurate. I love the sleek control panel and the sweet little chime tones. Today I used bake, broil, cooktop warming zone, timer and one burner in the course of about 10 minutes and it was all smooth, accurate and intuitive. I do not find the oven and storage drawer handles to be "fingerprint resistant" and the purported "soft close oven drawer" requires a firm shove to close. So far, no scratches on the cooktop but I've been very careful. I use a cooktop polish/cleaner on it four or five times a week and it is easy to clean. When the oven is in use, a continual clicking sound is generated at least once a minute. Apparently that is a normal function as the oven works to maintain a consistent temperature. I'd have thought advanced technology might have worked out that kink but whatever. I've only used convection baking twice but found I needed to reduce bake time 2-3 minutes each time. Appreciated the guidance in the online manual re: placement of multiple pans on oven racks. Ordered the range from Costco online. The first one delivered had a quality issue (back right cooktop corner had a noticeable amount of "give" where it should have been solid); sent it back and re-ordered. On the second one, which I kept, remnants of excess adhesive are visible at a couple of contact points where it overflowed during manufacture. I removed what I could but you can only wrangle with that kind of thing so long before compounding the problem, so I have surrendered. It does not affect performance and no one else will ever notice it. The two quality issues were disappointing, but, unfortunately, not surprising in an American-made product.

Induction is better than electric!

So far, so good. We've only had this unit for a few weeks, and we love it. Much happier with the induction stove top versus the electric range we had. The temperature of the stove top is much easier to control. The oven heats quickly and supports Wi-Fi controls, so I can preheat it before I get home to make dinner. It's Alexa-compatible, so I can also start it from another room in the house. The design is wonderful. Controls are in the front, easily accessible.

I replaced my gas range with the GE Induction range. I haven't used some of the features yet, but I love the speed my food cooks on the stovetop. I just made a cake in the oven and it came out beautiful, even and perfect. I wanted to try the air-fry option but hadn't connected my stove to the wifi yet. It is now and sends me a text when it is preheated. Pretty Cool! That will be my next test. I am happy to not have all that carbon dioxide spewing off my old stove in the house any longer.

I really like how clean this range looks and works. My only complaint is that the large cooking ring on the front right side is too big for most pans. I am accustomed to using that burner on my former gas stove as the default, so I have to make that adjustment. Otherwise, love it!

I really wanted to love this. I had a Kitchenaid and replaced it for this one because the oven was impossibly difficult to clean. I have had a GE profile gas range in the past and loved the oven and how easy it was to clean the black racks. With this model, I have scalded myself several times opening the oven door to take food out. I open the door, and as I™€™m reaching in to get my food, I get a blast of hot air and moisture that scalds my forearms. I feel this is a design flaw having to do with the slanted front. I think it traps the heat that is exhausted from the oven as the door is opened. I have zero complaints about the induction stovetop. It works beautifully and is quiet and easy to keep clean. However, I am VERY unhappy with the oven.

A very good induction range

We are pretty happy with the range. The burners work well and heat up very quickly. The top is easy to wipe clean. We are a little concerned about if the glass top will scratch, so we have been very careful. Even though we were very careful we have noticed a very small faint scratch from the bottom of a pot. You would never notice it unless you see light reflected in the glass top. We have silicon protector pads on the burners now. The electronic controls function well. Adjusting the heat of a burner feels a lot like using our old gas stove. It responds very quickly to changes. The oven does take longer to preheat than our old gas range. It seems to control the temperature pretty accurately.

This range is perfect for us! The induction cooktop gives you the (almost) immediate heat of a gas range without the gas. And clean-up is a breeze. Water boils in about 90 seconds and that really means a lot if you are cooking pasta! We love the design of the cooktop and the control panel, but be sure to use a micro-fiber cloth to clean the controls and cook-top so you don't scratch it. GE has done it again. Love the way the stovetop and the oven work! Such precise temperature control and even cooking. The glass top cleans up easily but since I wear hand lotion frequently the control panel shows fingerprints easily. But it also cleans up quickly.

Love the baking! True temp so far. Cooktop has been a bit difficult to fine tune where to put the temperature. For instance when you put the temp mid way it seems a bit low. The control panel is difficult to clean. You can™€™t clean it without inadvertently turning on controls.

Switching from a gas range to induction I was pretty skeptical but this range has preformed well. I like the synced burners for a griddle option and my cast iron one does work well on it. I also like the whole oven air fry feature. I have used that several times.

GE Profile induction stove control panel shatters!

I'm pretty upset right now. After just over a year (and the warranty period), a light hit to side of the control panel moving a pot to the burner shattered the whole thing into 1000 pieces! After some research I see that I am no alone (see links below) in experiencing this design flaw. The replacement parts are really confusing and incredibly expensive. I don't know what to do. Is this whole unit totaled because of this? The stove works fine but it's dangerous to use this way. Awesome replacement for our gas range

Looks great. Just as powerful as our old gas range, but without the fumes and hot gases licking up the sides of our pots. Probably faster heat up than natural gas burner with excellent touch controls. Easy clean up. Used it for baking and broiling ™€" seems to keep in more humidity than our gas oven did. Worked great for popovers, bread and Eccles cakes. Did not appreciate having to connect to our WiFi to use the air fryer feature. Don™€™t know who the idiot was at GE engineering who came up with this idea.

Almost perfect

I received my convection stove 5 days before Thanksgiving, and it exceeded my expectations for everything wonderful about convection cooking. HOWEVER, starting 2 days after delivery whenever we used the oven, the cooktop quit working, the first time the malfunction lasted just 2 days, then mysteriously started functioning perfect again. We gladly ordered a replacement stove, but the malfunction continued after every oven use. One time it was out for 8 days. All lights and buttons worked, the oven worked. Anyway, I love the stove and will keep reordering till I get a perfect one.

I really like the GE Proflile Induction stove so far. The air fry option is the best! My only complaint is keeping the control panel streak free. I also purchased cooktop mats, however I returned them for a cooktop mat which I prefer.

Looks Cool But Several Issues

Sides of handle (the parts that curve inward closest to oven) get EXTREMELY hot when cooking something that creates steam at a high temperature. Both me and my 14 yer old son have burned ourselves several times times when opening the oven. This appears to be due to the vents located right where the handle is. Although a tech came out and confirmed this issue, he somehow concluded that the oven was fine because we could safely grab the handle using only the very middle (the part furthest away from the vents due to the bow shape). I was shocked that GE would not exchange the product despite the tech confirming the outer sides of the handle were scalding hot. I also don™€™t prefer the infinity edge of the cooktop (for lack of a better description), as food particles and grease now fall into the crack between the cook top and my counter. My prior stove had edges which prevented this from happening. I also find that the induction cooktop makes a high-pitched sound when in use. Although this may be common with induction ranges, this one seems to be louder than others.

Controls are easy and precise, burners and oven all heat evenly and accurately. Easy to keep clean and best feature is the app on your phone. You can preheat from your living room, turn off or on burners, track cook time, change temp and many other functions.

Great design and cooking options!

So far I like everything about this range. The design makes it so easy to use and keep clean. All the controls are up front and all the options are at the ready. Love the lock control. I always engage it after using the range so if the range is being cleaned it doesn™€™t turn on. The induction works great and the warming pad is convenient. This is my first month of use, so have much more cooking to do. The oven is great too with convection bake and roast. I haven™€™t used the air fry feature yet as I have an air fryer appliance and still use that for smaller jobs.

We got our appliance just a bit over a month ago and we have been very happy with it. It's quick to warm up, has consistent warming for pans, safe features - turns automatically off when pan is taken off; lock controls. stove controls are a new to us. we are used to a simple dial that you turn, and the fully digital dial is easy to use but doesn't always respond to where you touch it - not a big deal. easy to clean (although I don't know about how it is fingerprint resistant).

GE Profiile: New Power Boil Feature isn't great

Always had and Loved GE Profile; however this new model doesn't have the actual dial feature of Power Boil. Yes this new one has it but it's part of the 11" burner and if your pot is not exactly 11" it doesn't boil like the previous model

Don't waste your money

Do not bother wasting your money on this induction range. We purchased the range in June so it is less than 6 month old and the induction controller failed, a known defect. I have called and emailed customer service and they still cannot find the part, being told that the soonest right now (tentative) it will be repaired is January 2nd. Received second part on December 22, repair tech is here now on December 29th. The wrong part was sent, and does not fit my range. In our research the main induction controller is the issue, a know problem, again I repeat. Don't waste your money on this range.

It's a joy to use this range. I haven't exercised all the niche oven features yet, but I've used the stovetop quite a bit. Compared to other stovetop types, I've found the temperature control to be much more responsive. It's also fun to touch the virtual to jump to the desired heat, while being able to use the +/- buttons for fine control.

GE Induction Range a fantastic purchase

As an avid and serious home cook, this is my first induction range and after extensive research I decided to purchase the GE Profile 30" Induction and Convection Range and am super pleased with the functionality and the technology. For example, I have a carbon still 8" pan that I use to make omelets and using an infrared reader, the temp of the pan goes from cold to 415 in a +/- two minutes (incredible). I also love the sleek modern design and smooth touch controls. I use the Smart App to adjust the range temperature and timer, and will be using the probe for my Christmas roast. Also, this range is very competitively priced when compared to other models and other manufacturers. Highly Recommend !!!!

Range operation is simple and straightforward. Setting up the WiFi was a pain but ultimately got it connected. The oven seals great for fast and efficient heating but that™€™s a double edge sword. If you spill something the smoke will stay trapped inside until you open the door. I was hoping it would have a rear exhaust to vent out and then up to an exhaust fan. So if something is burning I have to slowly open the door so the smoke has time to ™€œroll™€ backwards to the hood and exhaust out. Water boils extremely fast and there is some time to adjust to the use of cast iron with out a flat bottom. All in all it™€™s been a good range so far, I™€™m happy with it.

This GE Induction range and convection oven have been excellent. We have used it for about two weeks and baking is awesome. The induction range is easy to control and just as fast as gas. I can cook fried eggs in the same amount of time. The look of the range is modern and classic. Electric controls but raised to keep them from heat damage. Very happy with the whole range and would recommend it to others.
